Tateni used this opportunity to have all the participants that helped make the Maths and Science Program a success meet and socialise. All the Program participants (learners, tutors, motivational speakers, cooks, hosting school principals, head of departments, members of School Governing Bodies, Alumni and Tateni Board Members) accepted the invitation and attended the function.
On the day, both Rephafogile and Mamelodi High Maths and Science Class Satellites were combined to give the project’s grade 10 and 11 learners one last revision tutorial before taking their final 2014 examinations at their respective schools. More than 100 learners from the program’s three satellite schools (Vlakfontein Secondary, Mamelodi and Rephafogile High Schools) benefited from the last revision lesson. After the special class, the Chairperson of Tateni’s Board of Directors (Mr. Charles Baloyi) and the Executive Director (Mrs. Regina Mokgokong) thanked all present for their efforts throughout the year and wished the learners success for their examinations. A celebratory lunch followed during which project stakeholders networked. New friendships were formed as tutors and learners from the different satellite schools were afforded the chance to exchange views on the coming examinations and what to expect in the New Year from Tateni's Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Education Enhancing Program.
